Sarah Bloom is a writer / director from New York. She has a BFA in Screenwriting from Dodge College. Currently, Sarah lives in Brooklyn and works in production.

Her films explore the dark dirty magic of human connection. She used to be maximalist and emotive (à la American Honey, Y Tu Mamá También) but now she is trying out restrained and intentional (à la the Piano Teacher, Persona).

Sarah’s prose and poetry have been published by Silver Operation, Sunroom Bookz and Calliope Art & Literary Magazine. Her directorial debut, It Will Happen to Us Again, is currently in post. Past screenwriting includes San Clemente Syndrome, which premiered at Catalina Film Festival and is streaming on NoBudge.
